You know that moment, when you get to the beach and sit down with a bag of Whale Tails Chips.
Then you look far into the ocean, and it happens: You see a whale burst
out of the water, and it floats mid-air for a second. It hits the water
and the last thing you see is that tail. But right before that tail
disappears you hold up a Whale Tails Chip in front of your one open eye,
and it matches up perfectly with the monstrous tail in the distance.
The chip resonates with a silver lining. Right when the tail disappears
with a splash you crunch into that delicious organic sliver of natural
ingestible love, and Dick Dale's "Misirlou" explodes through your
earbuds from your mp3 player.......you know that moment? Yeah we don't
either, but it sounds great doesn't it? We imagine right then as the
song plays a cavalcade of your half-naked friends would come
running/tumbling over the hill through t
he hot sand heading straight for the water, until they spot you holding
a bag of natural, kosher, organic, gluten free Whale Tails Chips.
That's when they take a sharp ninety degree left directly towards you,
and you become the bottom of the NFL fumble pile, people peeling off
your friends one by one to see who's got the bag. They are just that
tasty.

Well, all your chips are gone but you still got that fine piece of Wyland art to pin to your Whale Tails Chips collage wall at home, right? Got a good story like this one? Tell us about it!

Don't Forget To Share Your Small Business Sustainability Efforts With The World
Over the last 20 years or so, some of the largest companies in the
world have been investing in environmental sustainability and in doing
so, have helped us all focus on the future of our environment and on
trying to make a more responsible impact. While the public relations
angle must have been taken into consideration, it is still a very
positive sign for the future of business sustainability in general. It
is the actions of the bigger companies that will influence how our small businesses handle their sustainability planning in the future.
If you have recently begun expanding your efforts in the area of sustainability and have taken some steps in that direction, don't forget to share that information with your customers. One way you could accomplish this is to print your brochures on recycled paper and then make note of that on the brochure itself. When catering lunch for clients, seek out organic and local foods. Let your clients know how you are working to reduce your carbon footprint.
When searching for green products and services for your small business, have a discussion with your vendors about your efforts and how you are trying to reduce the time and energy involved in obtaining their products or services. Word of mouth from one client to another about your businesses sustainability efforts could result in a customer at your door.
Because so many of us are really trying to lead more sustainable lives it is only natural that we would seek out local small businesses that feel the same. When a customer chooses your small business because it reinforces their efforts, you will develop a more trusting relationship with your customer. Not only will you be better poised for business success, you will find that your endeavors are also rewarding for you as well.
At Whale Tails our commitment to the environment and sustainability includes the ocean life that has been integral to both the product and the mission of Whale Tails since its inception in 2007. What began in Ocean Beach as a stovetop experiment after a day of surfing, Whale Tails are now available at many Whole Foods locations. We are confident that you will agree, healthy snacking while helping the environment never tasted so good. Contact us today to find your new favorite chip!

any other artist to raise awareness of the beauty of life on our blue

teaching millions of students around the country about the importance
of conserving our oceans, river, lakes, streams, and wetlands. Both
Whale Tails and Wyland hold fast to a simple goal of promoting,
protecting, and preserving the world’s ocean, waterways, and marine

pursue this shared aim, Whale Tails Tortilla Chips donates 10 percent

making a difference. Steve Creech, the vice president of Wyland

towards their “clean water mobile learning center.” This program
travels to schools across the nation to educate children about “urban

$3 million goal on World Oceans Day Friday June 8. So it seems
everyone this summer is “chipping” in for ocean conservation and
small business.
